COLE/OVERLAND
In this joint venture, Nelson and McAlvain took on the task of realigning I-84 and rebuilding the busiest interchange in Idaho.  The job required over 110,000 CY of concrete, 47,000 tons of asphalt and 2.2 million pounds of rebar.  Careful planning and management ensured that the 22 redirections of traffic would never result in a travel standstill.  Despite its complexity, the project was completed 22 days ahead of schedule, within budget and with zero claims filed.
