McAlvain and PCL entered into their first Joint Venture to take on Micron’s Research & Development structure located in Lehi, UT.
The Micron Fab #15 project was the beginning of a relationship between Micron and McAlvain. To this day McAlvain maintains a working relationship with Micron, and is honored to have built for them through their decades of success.
McAlvain Construction performs a job in California for American Stores, COE. This is the first project that McAlvain ventures outside the State of Idaho’s borders.
The once vacant dirt lot located in the heart of downtown Boise, ID was developed by McAlvain into a brick paved surface water fountain. This project has been recognized by Boise City as one that spurred Boise’s downtown development.
The first project McAlvain took on was an addition for the Albertsons Sundries Warehouse spanning over 182,000 square feet. To date McAlvain has built new stores for Albertsons covering four different states including Idaho’s original State & 16th store.
From dream to reality, Doug & Serena McAlvain started McAlvain Construction from a temporary office in their home. Since then, Doug, Serena, and their children have grown the family business into one of the leading construction firms in the Pacific Northwest. Doug’s son, Torry McAlvain, Sr., currently serves as CEO.
