The Dixie Drain Phosphorus Removal Facility sits on 38.6 acres and diverts 200 cfs of untreated irrigation water from the Dixie Drain Slough .25 miles upstream from the Boise River convergence. The plant includes a concrete diversion structure with air actuated bladders, pump station, per-sedimentation basin, chemical treatment building, rapid mix basin, settling pond, concrete fixed weir, box culvert and flocculation settling pond. The facility removes 140 pounds of phosphorus per day (10 tons annually).
