McAlvain’s project teams consist of Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) professionals who provide our clients with expert advice about the LEED Green Building Rating System and other sustainable construction techniques.  Our insight, knowledge and experience in sustainable construction can assist our client project team members through the process of how building green can find the balance between sustainability and cost.  Our project approach involves working with our clients and their project teams through an integrated process to determine the overall feasibility and long-term cost-benefits of incorporating sustainable features through:

  • Developing and implementing cost-effective, sustainable components
  • Adding real business value and higher return-on-investment
  • Reducing the carbon footprint of our operations and utilizing construction methods and materials that minimize harmful effects to our communities, the people who live in them and our environment
  • Design and constructing energy- and resource-efficient facilities that reduce operating and maintenance costs

McAlvain also demonstrates commitment to sustainability through active participation in US Green Building Council, support of US Green Building Council Idaho Chapter, as well as through promoting and supporting many other internal and external sustainable and recycling initiatives.
